Summary: The recent PGSNYS survey indicated that, while our organization is doing a good job overall, we could be doing more to meet the needs of our members. In this interactive meeting, PGSNYS member Denise Oliansky will provide a report on the recent Member Feedback Survey, and we will discuss ways to facilitate member research, outreach, fundraising, and fun. Bring your questions and comments.

Presenter bio: Denise Oliansky has been researching her adoptive and birth families since 1993, and never tires of tracking down new finds. She has been a member of the PGSNYS since April 2007, and has served on the Board for the past 11 years as Secretary, President, or Trustee. Her current roles include Secretary, editor of the Searchers newsletter since April 2010, and Membership Chair since October 2021. Denise has authored numerous articles for the Searchers and, for five years, until the end of 2022, wrote a monthly genealogy column on behalf of the PGSNYS for the Am-Pol Eagle newspaper. Her greatest joy is helping others with research basics and seeing them get excited about pursuing their own family history.

Please note that there will be a room change for this event! We will be meeting at the same location, Erie 1 BOCES Education Campus, 355 Harlem Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224, but we will be in room B2A. Hope to see you there!
