About our speaker: Kasia Dane is a long-time genealogical and family researcher who has branched out to transcribing and indexing historical records. In the past 25 years, she has contributed about half a million record entries to sites such as Geneteka and Family Search, as well as posting some on her own web pages in the past. She is largely self-taught, both in transcribing and in learning just enough foreign words to extract the main information from historical records such as birth, marriage, and death records. She is a member of PGSNYS and other Polish genealogical societies.
