Summary: This webinar will cover census records in the three partitions of Poland and some after WWII as well. Examples of census-like records of pre-partitioned Poland are included into this lecture, and information will be provided on where to find these records.

About our speaker:  Tadeusz “Teddy” H. Pilat was born in Silesia, Poland, and has been passionate about genealogy since high school. He graduated from the University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin, Poland, with a degree in Library Science, focused on the history of books and old documents. He became an Accredited Genealogist® for Polish research in 2003 through the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen). Teddy is very interested in creating electronic databases, and he is currently working on a Lemko Extraction Project, as well as a project focused on pre-1830 Mennonite property records in Polish archives. In addition to being fluent in Polish, German, and English, he can read Latin, Russian, and old German scripts. Teddy has given lectures on genealogy in numerous locations throughout the U.S. and Poland, and is a cofounder of the genealogical research firm Historiae.
